Burj Khalifa Dubai: classic of the future

With the smell of larger oil barrels and wells, how does it feel to see the world’s tallest tower with luxury painted and glass coated, Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building(skyscraper) which gained a lot of popularity in Dubai and also raised the standards.

It took about five whole years to complete the entire architecture of Burj Khalifa it is also called Burj Dubai, the name Khalifa is to honor the president of the United Arab Emirates Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and ruler of Dubai.

The purpose of architecture from the earliest possible days of human evolution is to develop civilization and to look more modern and educated, Dubai used the trick of architecture to raise its standards in the world economy and to equalize itself with the world-leading countries.

More than just an oil-producing country Dubai is also a place of tourism, the lavish and luxurious lifestyle of Dubai is way more advanced than many countries in this world, the government itself planned to build the skyscraper (Burj Khalifa) for the development project downtown Dubai.

Architecture Design

As Burj Khalifa is an experimental project it has to be something which is never been there before, the core architectural shape is a central hexagon core with three wings, and the design is derived from buildings like the great mosque of Samarra and the central design derived from Samsung tower 3 in South Korea, It is a mixture of cocktail design like Islamic architecture and futuristic architecture.

To impact the wider population of Islamic architecture, the core design follows Islamic architecture, Islamic architecture is a mixture of many architectural designs and evolved as an identity, every building designed from Islamic architecture has a sense of religion and spiritual essence, the spiral design of Burj Khalifa impacts the Islamic architecture style.

To create something new is to adapt to the growing trends and also consider the future within, Burj also used a futuristic design philosophy which made people wow at first sight, the futuristic architectural design is composed of long dynamic lines and strong usage of concrete in a very soft manner.

Materials used

When we look at Burj Khalifa: the tallest tower in the world may look like a bunch of glass that is perfectly designed and organized but when we look at it from an architect’s perspective, Burj Khalifa is made out of concrete, steel rebars, and curtains walls along with glasses.

The shape of the architecture is weird but modern at the same time, thanks to Adrian Smith for his clear visuals and inspiration from the futuristic and Islamic architectural styles.

Purpose of the Architecture

Every architecture has a purpose, like what a painting or literature does, it contains a theory or a philosophy to communicate, Burj Khalifa was designed with the concept of creating a standard for Dubai in the international standards and it does create and give Dubai new view from the outer world’s perspective.

With more houses, hotels luxury apartments, and offices, Burj Khalifa itself is a living environment in the modern era, it stands as an identity of Dubai to date.
